Overcoming Transportation Barriers to Health, Financial Stability, and Education
Closing transportation gaps caused by poverty, systemic racism, and other inequities is critical for securing employment, accessing medical care, obtaining healthy food, and dealing with emergencies and crises.
Ride United was established in 2018 to support United Ways and 211s in reducing transportation barriers to help people in need across the United States.
Securing Your Child's Future
Dollars for College is a children’s savings account (CSA) program that is designed to provide low income families with a safe, easy to access, trusted, and low-cost opportunity to build savings for their child’s future post-secondary education. The goal for Dollars for College is to ensure that every student can achieve their dreams beyond high school, which is best realized through completing post-secondary education.

Student United Way is a group of passionate student leaders who are committed to improving lives and strengthening communities. We focus on education, financial stability and health, because those are the things everyone needs to build a good quality life.
Mary Waddell Memorial Scholarship
Mary Waddell served as the Executive Secretary of the United Way of Henderson County. She was the embodiment of community service and volunteerism, who generously gave her time and talents to professionally uphold the organization's values and mission to improve people's lives in Henderson County.
Unite, Game, and Make A Difference!
Join the United We Game initiative, a fun-filled program for youth ages 12-18 in Henderson County. We provide safe and enjoyable meetups where you can connect with other young people, all while receiving essential support like food aid, medical services, counseling, and wellness checks.
